Dear Friend,

You don’t need to be ashamed. You don’t need to be afraid. You don’t need to carry the weight of Donald Trump’s lies one more day.

I know you believed him. Millions did. You wore the hat, waved the flag, cheered the rallies. You believed you were standing up for America, protecting your family, and fighting for your country. There’s no shame in wanting those things. That’s patriotism. That’s love of country.

But here’s the truth: Trump betrayed you. He promised strength, but showed only weakness. He promised greatness, but delivered chaos. He promised loyalty to America, but demanded loyalty only to himself. He strutted around as “Alpha Trump,” but the act collapsed every time he faced people of real courage.

“I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me —and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

Did you see Trump with our military this week? There he was, slurring his words, threatening careers for not kissing his ring. And Pete Hegseth barked his embarrassing, testosterone-drenched pep talk about manhood and toughness. And the soldiers, real heroes who’ve bled, sacrificed, and lived honor, sat in silence. No applause, no cheers. Just the quiet discipline of men and women who know the difference between leadership and a clown show. That wasn’t strength on display. That was weakness exposed.

“There’s nobody bigger or better at the military than I am”

And that’s the story of Trump’s whole career. He huffs and puffs about being a strongman, an alpha, a “winner.” But in the end he is a petty, whiny, brittle man, a snowflake who demands praise and crumbles under silence. You know this. You’ve seen it. And admitting it doesn’t make you weak; it makes you free.

Walking away from this cult isn’t betrayal of your country, it’s devotion to it. You don’t need to use violence, or rage, or mob fury. All you have to do is step back into the light of reason and say: enough. That is courage. That is patriotism.

And listen: this doesn’t mean abandoning your beliefs. You can still vote Republican. You can still support conservative policies if they matter to you. But you don’t need to bow to a man who confuses loyalty with worship and mistakes hatred for justice. You don’t need to pretend his golden shoes make him a giant, when in truth he’s the smallest man ever to call himself “leader.”

“I’m not a schmuck. Even if the world goes to hell in a handbasket, I won’t lose a penny.”

Quitting a cult is hard. It’s like quitting any addiction. But once you do, life opens back up. You’ll feel taller. You’ll breathe easier. You’ll find your voice again, not chanting someone else’s slogans, but speaking your own truth.

And here’s the most important part: you’ll be welcomed. Not mocked, not shamed, not cast out. Welcomed back to the America that still belongs to all of us, the one that doesn’t need Alpha posturing, but thrives on real courage, real work, and real patriotism.

Come back. The mob was never your country. America is. And America has been waiting for you.

Yours,

Brutus X
